Feature	What it does
★ Keyboard-first	Every command has a shortcut, and most have both an F-key and a Ctrl chord — use whichever becomes muscle memory. The mouse only does wheel scrolling, placing the caret, and dragging to select text; it is never required.
★ Always fullscreen	No title bar, no menus, no window chrome to fight with. The way MS-DOS programs always simply were.
★ Ten themes + CRT effects	Cycle through ten built-in themes — eight classic monochrome ones plus two genuinely colorful ones, Neon and Studio — and layer on optional glow, scanlines, curvature, flicker and afterglow, all off by default, all individually adjustable.
★ Theme Builder	Build and name up to ten custom themes with a full color picker, live preview, contrast checker, and optional custom accent, caret, and selection colors. Export a theme to back it up or share it, and import themes made by other writers.
★ Jump navigation	Reach any word on screen without the mouse: a label appears beside each line, then beside each word, and two keypresses put the caret exactly there.
★ Writing sprints	Time-based or word-count sprints with a live words-per-minute readout, plus a one-tap Hemingway Mode toggle that blocks Delete and cut for the duration — forward motion only.
★ Typewriter / Line Typewriter / Word Mode	Keep your current line pinned in place, shrink the whole writing space down to three lines, or strip the screen to just the word or two you're on — three levels of "get out of my way."
★ Outline & headings	Ordinary Markdown headings power a real outline view, with drag-free reordering straight from the keyboard.
★ Names & Expansions	Character names get auto-suggested as you type, sorted by how often you actually use them; repeated phrases get a short name of their own.
★ Autosave that means it	Saves 500 ms after you stop typing, plus a background safety net every 5 seconds during long unbroken streaks. A recovery slot protects even a document you haven't saved yet.
★ Timestamped backups	Every deliberate save leaves a plain-text backup copy behind, so nothing is ever the only copy of itself.
★ Portable mode	Drop a marker file next to the exe and TextWriter keeps its settings and documents right there with it — runs happily from a USB stick.
★ Plain text, always	`.txt` or `.md`, nothing proprietary. Your words stay readable by literally anything, forever.
